Coaching
About Coaching
Coaching is based on a relationship between the professional coach and the client, that focuses on the client taking responsibility and action in order to achieve specific goals.
Coaching assists the client in increasing one's level of self-awareness and responsibility and provides the client with structure, support and feedback. It is really about helping the client achieve his or her potential through the coaching relationship and process.
"The College of Executive Coaching's 2005 State of the Coaching
Industry Survey shows that 95% of the organizations that use
coaching have increased its use in the past five years and zero
percent have decreased its use. Coaching is growing because it
works. In recent surveys, 55%-85% of organizations report using
formal coaching as an employee development method."

Coaching assists the client in increasing one's level of self-awareness and responsibility and provides the client with structure, support and feedback. It really is about helping the client achieve his or her potential by being a thought partner. Leadership coaching is for those who want to increase performance and want a confidential partner to discuss key business challenges. Coaching helps the leader achieve a higher level of self-awareness so that positive growth can occur.
Coaching can help create more successful organizations by assisting the leader or executive in:
· the development of leadership skills,
· the development of the organizations’ leaders,
· the management of employees,
· communication skills,
· managing relational conflict effectively,
· decreasing personal or professional stress and
· building on emotional intelligence competencies.
Health/Well-Being Coaching
Focus: Brain Health Coaching Executive coaching conversations usually focus on career and organizational performance, however, personal challenges that affect one's work performance can be addressed in coaching. Without addressing these issues, employees are often not able to move forward. Stress is a significant issue facing employees and is commonly addressed and worked on in coaching.
Well-being leads to high performance. How can an employee achieve peak performance, productivity, high engagement, and exceptional leadership skills, if he or she is not managing their health and well-being?
With extensive knowledge, experience and education in psychology, leadership, adult education and nutrition and brain health, Wendy is well-equipped to offer extensive health and well-being coaching to her clients. This may be the focus of coaching or can be integrated with leadership/executive coaching.
Recent survey results indicated that workplace engagement, conflict management skills, emotional self-management, and motivation increased on average by 36% - 38% following stress-management coaching with Wendy.
